Already poor, Alexi's family was hit hard by the Depression. She and her older brother Isaac ran away and spent a few years as mercenaries until they unknowingly got into something too big and were hunted by hitmen. The two tried to escape to the U.S. but were followed. Isaac ran off to distract their peruser. Alexi never saw him again.
When in America Alexi maintained her unlawful ways and gained quite a reputation amongst the Destitute, becoming an underground legend. But within a few more years her gang was defeated and left in ruin. She'd soon join the Templar and put her old ways behind her, gaining a high rank and control over a combat-ready investigation squad (Balcom, Pfister, and Dearnaley). When not on duty she watches over her five year old son, Anton. Alexi is extremely skilled in the use of a blade, preferring daggers for range and katars (short blades strapped to the forearm) when the enemy gets close. She keeps several such weapons concealed on her person, and has earned the titles Mistress of Blades and Sword Demon for her prowess.
