DECEMBER 2007
12/28/2007 - Art, Extras, and RSS Thanks to the help of Marko, PD's got an RSS feed running now. Seriously, the guy was most willing and able to set this up. Check out his comic, Roomies. I seem to have left a kick-ass piece of fan art out. It's up now, if out of order, and I apologies to Justin “Order of the Glaive” for this. There's two new pieces of gift art up as well. I commissioned Soap to draw Alexi, Kyran, and Mansfield, and have received my a Secret Santa from Linkara of Light Bringer.
12/25/2007 - Progress and a New Forum. Also Happy Holidays. Sorry for the lack of progress on the site. A few pieces of art need to go up, I've promised to restore some of the old Extras, and I need to set up (thanks to Marko's help) and RSS feed. But you know it's the holidays and whatnot and I've managed to preoccupy myself with other things. We do have a new forum though. Check it out. And thanks for showing your support thus far, I really mean it. 12/22/2007 - Parallel Dementia at Milk in the Pantry The website is officially up and running. After just over two years since PD's beginning on Comic Genesis it's going independent. I feel this move will make Parallel Dementia a more serious contender in the eyes of the webcomic community. I could not have started without the help and initial publicity Comic Genesis offered, but it's time to move on. Parallel Dementia is now part of Milk in the Pantry, a website of my own creation that in the future will act as a hub for all of my projects. Why Milk in the Pantry? Some of you may know of my doodle comic of the same name, a name I liked enough to use to represent my work. Thanks must be given to a few people for helping me with this site. It was my roommate Steve Carroll who suggested my web provider. Steve's a 3-D environment and prop designer, check his stuff out. Snafu provided an easy to comprehend code for comic page navigation, and it was Zwuh of Redslime and Neon Fishbowl who figured out how to make that code work all the better. Thanks, people. The site has been almost completely redone. All of the web pages aside from Information are operational, and I plan on implementing Information bit by bit as time goes by. I did, however, not salvage the old news from the previous site, as it simply was not worth the effort to go in and edit two years worth of news when a very small portion of the readership reads that. Additionally, some extras from the old site have been removed. But there's some new stuff too. The Fire Tutorial has been revamped. Dresden Codak and Minus have been added to the links page as well as several new PD link banners. Two fan-made songs, PD Theme and Visage Theme by Justin Williams have been added to the Fan Work page. Enjoy. You may have noticed there is now a donation image to the right of the site. As said there, donations of $1.00 (US) or more will get you that desktop at a size of your choosing. I plan on making new desktops once in a while, depending on how much time I have and if desktop donation incentives are worthwhile. Hooray for exploiting my characters! Well, I hope the move is smooth and that things will stay stable now. Thanks for sticking with me and for reading this rather lengthy news post. More to come later. 12/11/2007 - More Progress Okay, the Archive, Gallery, Links, and Contact pages are pretty much fully up and running. All of the other pages are up, though in various levels of incompletion. I think I'll try to get the News, Extra, and Fan Works pages running before this site goes fully public, then add the info stuff bit by bit, cause there will be a lot. Whew. One final to go.
12/10/2007 - Progress Report Well, looks like this is taking a LOT longer than I expected. Finals end this week, that will free up a lot of time. Though, I would have made more progress if I didn't discover that I miscounted pages a ways back. I had to go in to about 200 pages and edit them with the correct page number. All of the pages are up now, though.
12/03/2007 - Under Contruction Parallel Dementia is leaving Comic Genesis in favor of having its own hosting. This website is currently under construction. There is still much to do. Many links do not work, as the pages themselves plus several images have yet to be finished. In hopes the site will be working well enough by the end of December 4th (PD's second anniversary) that is can be unveiled. So if you found this place already, know that it is still a "secret" and still has a good deal of bugs. If you found this already and have never heard of Parallel Dementia, the comic is currently here. |
