8/22/2008 - Distinctive Fantasy Comics

A new webcomic by the creater of Atavism, Cerintha has been added to the links page. It's only recently started up but has been updating steadily at 3 times a week and hints at a distinct fantasy world based more on real culture (from what I've gathered and compared to my historical knowledge) rather than D&D or LotR as so many fantasy comics take a cue from.

And the new feature is the weekly webcomic Just Another Escape, which has been in the links page forever but deserves another mention for its recent rather creepy storyline. JAE's a somewhat surreal comic taking place around a strange university and the Rain House, where gifted students live. It's a modern fantasy that prefers a mysterious and subtle approach to its genre. Great read, so give it a look.

8/21/2008 - Lotsa Stuff

And that ends the second crossover. It was short but sweet, and set up stuff for a bigger one later, yo. The similarities between Fall and Eddie prompted this and will act as a plot device later on, so it's good they got some time to themselves in a more peaceful encounter.

After this page I'm going to take a 2 week break from PD in order to work on some other projects both of my own and for school, as well as refine the PD scripts (as some of you know, I've been having a bit of writer's block). Guess the last page of Layers isn't a bad one to keep up for 2 weeks though...

We'll resume Monday and Friday updates starting the first Friday of next month (September 5th). And I think the next few issues really have a lot in store.

Holy Moses! Lots of fan art today! NJ Huff has provided two stylish pieces. One of Miyan and one of Tim. And Elliwiny gives us an absolutely adorable Alexi and Anton! I am spoiled. Yes I am.
